With the release of Photoshop Elements 2024, we gain access to numerous new tools that make photo editing easier and speed up the workflow. In the article below, we’d like to introduce a few of the newly released features so you can learn how to edit your photos quickly and easily.
Add moving elements to your image
The Adobe Sensei AI lets you animate parts of an image however you like. You can add motion effects to water, clothing, and hair, mimicking the movement of air or the flow of water. Here’s how easy it is to animate your photos:
- Open the image in Photoshop Elements and go to Enhance –> Moving Elements in the menu
- Select the element you want to move, then choose the direction of motion
- You can also choose the intensity of the motion
- When you’re done, save it as a video and share it on your social media pages
Add color to your images with patterns
Guided Edit in mode, the Pattern Brush lets you make your images more exciting by adding unique patterns.
- Open your image and select Guided Edit mode, select Fun Edits mode
- Select Pattern Brush tool
- Choose a pattern you like, then adjust its size and spread
- Simply paint the pattern onto your image
- You can select elements in your image to protect them from the decoration, and easily erase any unwanted parts
Use overlays on your image
If you want to create a unique effect with your images, add leaves, flowers, a string of lights, and more layers to your image. It’s that simple:
- Open your image, and select Guided Edit mode, then select Fun Edits mode
- Choose Peek-through Overlay option
- Choose a pattern that suits your idea, then position it however you like
- You can easily change the overlay’s size, hue, and saturation, or blur it so that it blends in with the surroundings
Show your best face!
Perfect Portrait Guided Edit mode to easily enhance your photo: smooth skin, remove blemishes, make anyone smile by changing the curve of their mouth, or open eyes that were closed.
- Open your photo, Guided mode, you will find the Special Edits menu item
- Select the Perfect Portrait option
- Think about what changes you would like to make, and then make adjustments to the face, eye position, and smile, correct skin imperfections, whiten teeth, and change the angle of the face.
Create collages
If you want to show several images at once, you can arrange them in a collage in just a few steps.
- Select the images you want to arrange in a collage
- Go to the Create menu, and select Photo Collage option.
- Your images are automatically placed into a collage template, which you can easily change using the arrows on either side of the template.
- You can move the images to position them as needed, or replace a photo if you change your mind.
